The two-story Bluegrass Eye Center in Oldham County, Kentucky provides readily available healthcare for residents of Oldham and surrounding counties. The new center, built using sustainable materials, contains triple the number of examination rooms than the previous center that enables them to also perform specialized treatments. To gain LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, Nudura® Insulated Concrete Forms offered superior insulation paired with low-emissivity windows that reduce heat transfer. Using geothermal heating and cooling, solar hot water heating, and recycled building materials also contributed to their environmentally-friendly project goals.
