FinishWorks Plant Facility

Berlin, Ohio

When planning began for the construction of a new FinishWorks manufacturing plant, the goal was a low-maintenance, durable structure that could withstand the extreme weather conditions of the upper Midwest, accommodate the space of the factory equipment and have the sound deadening necessary to keep the office portion of the building quiet. Nudura® Insulated Concrete Forms helped the team achieve all of these requirements.

In addition to the ICF walls, Dryvit's NewBrick lightweight insulated masonry veneer was selected for the cladding, a combination that results in higher R-value, greater soundproofing and a beautiful exterior finish.

Robert Miller Jr. of Tekton Engineering explains that "looking at the R-Value and getting that continuous insulation on the inside...that's an advantage compared to some of the more traditional wall systems."
