This six-story hotel, located just north of Dallas, Texas, features 165 guestrooms and a 25,000 sq. ft. conference center. Nudura® 8” ICFs were used on the first two floors and 6” forms were used above to complete the structure. Arched ICF parapets add architectural interest to the structure.
“The job was secured by demonstrating Nudura construction to be cost competitive to CMU while reducing the construction time and providing multiple operating benefits,” explained Randy McGuffee of FutureStone. ICFs also offer a number of other construction benefits over CMU construction.
Since the completion of this project, more than 12 additional hotels have been designed with ICFs specifically because of the success of this Hilton Garden Inn. The hotel has been used as a tour site to show design and construction professionals the usage and benefits of ICFs.
