Did you know the largest storm shelter in Kentucky was constructed with Nudura® Insulated Concrete Forms?

In Muldraugh, Kentucky, the largest storm shelter in the state can house up to 1,000 people, roughly the size of the town’s entire population, to protect them from tornadoes and hazardous weather. The structure is built using Nudura ICFs and follows Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) safe room guidelines to withstand windspeeds up to 250 mph and impact from flying debris.

Combined with other amenities, the building’s multi-functional design enables it to serve as a community center as well. With the durability and safety provided by the Insulated Concrete Forms, the City of Muldraugh Safe Room promises long-lasting security and recreation for its residents.
