Nudura One-Day Course

Our one-day training program teaches participants basic Nudura ICF installation skills for concrete homes and light commercial structures. 

Led by a Nudura ICF installation specialist, we’ll break down the fundamentals of Insulated Concrete Forms, walk through the installation process and discuss common building scenarios. Our trainers offer an open discussion-style seminar with Q&As, videos and hands-on demonstrations.

Architects can earn 5 AIA CEUs for this course.

The cost of the program is $150 plus applicable taxes.

Course Outline

We will follow the Nudura Installation Manual and cover these sections:

  • Introduction to Nudura ICFs
  • Getting started, plan requirements and building codes
  • Tools
  • Site preparation and delivery
  • Installation procedures
  • Footings
  • First and second-course placement
  • Additional course placement
  • Openings, installation of door and window bucks
  • Lintel design and use of tables
  • Wall alignment and scaffolding system
  • Reinforcing steel placement
  • Concrete specifications and placement
  • Dampproofing/waterproofing
  • Air/vapor barrier requirements
  • Electrical, plumbing and mechanical
  • Interior and exterior finishes

Prerequisites

This course is appropriate for individuals with at least a basic knowledge of construction practices, tools and building materials. The only requirement is a desire to learn more about building with Insulated Concrete Forms! This course is ideal for: 

  • Contractors looking to grow their knowledge and skillset or take a first step toward expanding their business to include building homes or commercial buildings with ICF
  • Architects who want an introduction to ICF construction and to earn 5 AIA HSW CEUs 

What To Expect After Training

Earn your certificate

Once you have completed the course and passed the assessment with a score of a 70% or higher, you will receive a certificate of completion signifying your success.

Become a trained installer

Following your course, your local distributor or Nudura rep will help you complete two Nudura ICF installations. The distributor will send a Distributor Sign-Off (DSO) form to Nudura and we'll email you a Nudura Trained Installer card.

Receive continued on-site support

We take pride in providing on-site technical support throughout any of your projects to ensure you are never without the help you need. 

Access additional micro-learnings

Upon completion of the Basic ICF Installation Course, you’ll have access to additional online micro-learnings to enhance your ICF knowledge.
