Nudura Online Training Course

Nudura's ICF Basic Installation Course is available online through the Tremco University platform and provides the fundamentals of installing our Insulated Concrete Forms for building concrete homes and light commercial structures. This course includes design considerations, installation and construction practices, and an overview of interior and exterior finishes and their application.

Architects can earn 5 AIA LU/HSW credits for this course.

Course Outline

We will follow the Nudura Installation Manual and cover these items through six self-paced modules:

  • Introduction to Nudura ICFs
  • Getting started, plan requirements and building codes
  • Tools
  • Site preparation and delivery
  • Installation procedures
  • Footings
  • First and second-course placement
  • Additional course placement
  • Openings, installation of door and window bucks
  • Lintel design and use of tables
  • Wall alignment and scaffolding system
  • Reinforcing steel placement
  • Concrete specifications and placement
  • Dampproofing/waterproofing
  • Air/vapor barrier requirements
  • Electrical, plumbing and mechanical
  • Interior and exterior finishes

Prerequisites

The only requirement for participation in our online training course is a desire to learn more about building with Insulated Concrete Forms! Some knowledge of basic construction practices, tools and building materials is helpful but not required. This course is ideal for:

  • Contractors looking to grow their knowledge and skillset or take a first step toward expanding their business to include building homes or commercial buildings with ICF
  • Architects who want to earn 5 AIA HSW CEUs and get an introduction to ICF construction for more energy efficient and disaster resilient structures.

Is Online Training for You?

Depending on your needs and schedule, online learning may be a great option for you. Keep in mind that the in-person course offers the opportunity to receive immediate answers to your questions and get hands-on experience working with Insulated Concrete Forms. When in-person is not possible, online training has its benefits, such as:

What To Expect After Training

Earn your certificate

Once you have completed the course and passed the assessment with a score of a 70% or higher, you will receive a certificate of completion signifying your success.

Become a trained installer

Following your course, your local distributor or Nudura rep will help you complete two Nudura ICF installations. The distributor will send a Distributor Sign-Off (DSO) form to Nudura and we'll email you a Nudura Trained Installer card.

Receive continued on-site support

We take pride in providing on-site technical support throughout any of your projects to ensure you are never without the help you need. 

Access additional micro-learnings

Upon completion of the Basic ICF Installation Course, you’ll have access to additional online micro-learnings to enhance your ICF knowledge.
