ICF home before and after the exterior finish. The Martin Ct. project illustrates the advantages of custom homebuilding by integrating Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) for the house frame with Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS) from Dryvit. This home’s exterior blends modern with traditional elements for a one-of-a-kind residential design.

The concrete home construction features a complex roof design, where the use of the Prebuck® sill plate enabled an efficient transition from the ICF walls to the roof. The ICF structural walls create a highly insulated building enclosure that is complemented by triple pane windows, Hydrofoam underslab insulation board and spray foam attic insulation for an extremely eco-friendly house.

Dryvit EIFS, seamlessly applied over the ICFs, was selected for the home’s cladding for a low-maintenance, protective exterior finish with custom architectural features such as cornices and window surrounds. These energy efficient measures ensure superior thermal performance and airtightness for year-round comfort and reduced utility bills.

For those planning a custom home prioritizing durability and energy savings, this Illinois house exemplifies of how ICFs and EIFS can work together to deliver structural resilience and enduring curb appeal.
