EXPLORE ICF TRAININGS

Both ICF trainings from Nudura provide a basic understanding of installing Nudura’s insulated concrete forms. They outline the ICF construction process step-by-step, so participants will learn how to build homes and commercial structures from start to finish with ICFs and concrete. Refer to this blog post for the specific course modules.

While geared toward those who will be installing the product themselves, anyone in the construction and design industry, even DIY homeowners with limited building knowledge, can grasp the information and benefit from the training.

Becoming a Nudura Trained Installer

Completing these courses does not automatically qualify a participant as a Nudura Trained Installer. After finishing all the modules online or in-person, participants will take a final exam and must score 70% or higher to receive a certificate of completion. From there, they must execute at least two Nudura ICF installations and have an authorized Nudura distributor complete a Distributor Sign-Off (DSO) form on their behalf. The distributor will review two of the installer’s Nudura projects and sign off that they have been done successfully. Nudura will then issue a Nudura Trained Installer card to the builder to validate their training.

Who should take the online ICF training course?

Nudura’s online training is free and takes approximately 8 hours to complete. The course follows six self-paced modules that cover design considerations when building with ICF, prescriptive design tables and exercises, installation and construction practices, and an overview of interior and exterior finish application.

This online course is great for anyone who:

  • Wants to learn about ICFs ASAP
  • Is looking become a Nudura trained installer
  • Seeks to understand the installation process before paying for the in-person class
  • Doesn’t have an in-person ICF course near them
  • Wants to get trained during the winter season or inclement weather
  • Has a client interested in ICFs and wants to learn more before getting certified or committing to an in-person session

Who should participate in an in-person ICF course?

The in-person ICF training option is a one-day interactive program led by a Nudura installation specialist who teaches the fundamentals of ICF installation skills for homes and commercial structures. The course costs $150 and includes breakfast and lunch, as well as a physical copy of the Nudura ICF installation manual. With hands-on activities, the course will cover the ICF installation procedures, common building scenarios that you might encounter on site, and explain how Nudura’s unique accessory products speed up the ICF construction process.

This option is best for:

  • Those who enjoy learning and working in a hands-on, collaborative environment.
  • People who want to become a Nudura trained installer.
  • Anyone located near one of our many training locations.
  • People who want to get physical experience cutting and stacking ICFs before installing.
