Nudura's Array of ICF Offerings

When it comes to constructing energy-efficient structures that stand the test of time and natural disasters, Nudura Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) have you covered! From large-scale commercial projects to custom residential builds, our innovative form offerings ensure superior insulation, strength and design flexibility. This blog post showcases four different types of Nudura concrete forms and how they come together to enhance modern construction.

4 Different Types of Insulated Concrete Forms

1. Nudura's Standard Form

As part of Nudura’s ICF Series, the Standard Form is a fully assembled straight ICF block that measures 8 ft (2438 mm) long and consists of two panels of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) insulation connected by a patented hinged folding web that enables it to fold flat for easier shipping and storage. The Standard Insulated Concrete Form is 4-way reversible to further speed installation and has concrete core widths ranging from 4 to 12 in. (102-305 mm).

Corners can be a challenge in construction, but Nudura’s corner forms makes it easy. Like the Standard Form, the 90° form is 4-way reversible, eliminating the need for separate left and right corner pieces and reducing material waste. Nudura also offers a 45° form and radius forms for greater architectural versatility. The radius forms can also be customized for one-of-a-kind curved walls.

3. Nudura Optimizer

The Nudura Optimizer allows installers to adjust the height of any wall effortlessly. Designed for use at the top of the wall as a height adjuster, this form enables builders to achieve 17 different stack heights ranging from 4 ft (1220 mm) to 12 ft (3600 mm). This adaptability ensures that every ICF structure is built with the precision it deserves.

4. Nudura One Series

The One Series is a unique concrete form with EPS foam on one side and a removable plywood face on the other. Once the concrete is cured and the wood is removed, it reveals an exposed concrete finish that is ideal for areas requiring non-combustible material, such as elevator shafts and stairwells. This one-sided ICF block enhances fire resistance while maintaining the thermal and structural benefits of ICF construction, making it a safe and reliable choice for various building applications.

Why Choose Nudura ICFs?

Despite their distinctions, these different concrete forms from Nudura can be used together across a building to maximize their strengths and accommodate the various design and construction needs of today’s residential and commercial ICF projects. The Lewis Building is a prime example for how these ICF offerings worked in conjunction for an award-winning mixed-use space.

So, why settle for traditional building methods when you can construct smarter and stronger with Nudura’s Insulated Concrete Forms.
